Get dirty at Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs
The mud pool is just one of the natural attractions at Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa in New Mexico - but it’s one of the most memorable experiences. Where else can you slather cool clay all over your body and then bake into the sun until done? As the special clay dries it draws toxins from your body and you emerge feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Ojo Caliente, located an hour from Santa Fe and Taos, is the only hot springs in the world with the remarkable combination of four different types of mineral water. These 10 legendary mineral pools have been a gathering place and source of healing for thousands of years. Today, you can enjoy a massage treatment after your soak or head into the high desert for a hike to ancient ruins.
Entry to the mineral pools, steam, sauna and mud pool is only $16 (Monday to Thursday) and $24 (Friday - Sunday and holidays). Pools are open from 8 am to 10 pm daily. Be sure to ask about their special sunset rates and private outdoor pools.
